Terms of Service

These terms govern the use of the Barbell Studio website and gym, operated at Strada Pătlaginei 18, Bucharest. By creating an account, purchasing a membership or using our facilities, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use our services.

• Membership is personal and non-transferable.
• You must be at least 16 years old. Members under 18 need written parental consent.
• New members join by submitting an application. Once approved, you receive an invitation by email to complete your registration and choose a plan.
• Membership becomes active once payment is confirmed and runs for the period you purchased (monthly or yearly).

• Prices are shown in RON and include VAT.
• You can pay online by card — processed securely by Stripe — or at the front desk (cash, card or bank transfer).
• If you upgrade your plan mid-period, the price difference is calculated and shown to you at checkout.
• Renewals extend your membership from the end date of the current period.

• You can cancel your membership at any time by contacting us at the front desk or at info@barbellstudio.ro — there are no cancellation penalties.
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for: you keep full access until then, and the remaining period is not refunded.

To keep the gym a great place to train for everyone:

• Re-rack your weights and plates after use.
• Wipe down equipment after use and use a towel while training.
• Indoor sports shoes are mandatory.
• Follow the instructions of our staff and report damaged equipment immediately.
• Store personal belongings in the lockers provided; do not leave valuables unattended.

• You use the gym and its equipment at your own risk.
• We recommend consulting a doctor before starting any exercise program, especially if you have a medical condition.
• Warm up properly and ask our staff if you are unsure how to use a piece of equipment.
• Report any injury or incident to our staff immediately.

We expect all members to treat staff and fellow members with respect. Harassment, discrimination, aggressive behavior or filming other members without their consent are not tolerated. Violations may lead to suspension or termination of your membership; in serious cases, without a refund of the remaining period.

The website and gym facilities are provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, Barbell Studio is not liable for indirect damages or for the loss of personal belongings on the premises. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under Romanian consumer protection law.

The content of this website — including the Barbell Studio name, logo, texts and images — belongs to Barbell Studio. It may not be copied, distributed or reproduced without our prior written permission.

• We may update these terms from time to time; significant changes are announced by email. The date at the top reflects the latest version.
• These terms are governed by Romanian law, and disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the Romanian courts.
• As a consumer, you can also turn to the National Authority for Consumer Protection — ANPC (anpc.ro), including its alternative dispute resolution service (SAL).
